Specialized Care

Short-term care, also known as respite, offers opportunities to experience
assisted living on a temporary basis.

Closer To Home offers:

Vacation stays: ranging from a number of days to a few weeks.

Hospital discharge: Short-term stays for seniors who may have recently
been discharged from the hospital and need extra assistance while they heal.

Trial stage: A short-term stay that allows potential residents to meet our staff
and other residents, experience our activities, and taste our delicious food.

Respite: Allows seniors to enjoy our activities, recreational outings,
food, and companionship on a part-time basis.

Hospice Care: We offer comfort, care, and assistance to help maintain a better
quality of life. We will work with your hospice provider to develop a coordinated plan of care.


Assisted Living

Our specially designed assisted living facility provides residents with:

Trained staff on duty and available 24/7.

Three delicious home cooked meals each day with snacks and beverages throughout the day.

Social and recreational activities, and cultural events created for our residents’ individual interests.

An emergency assistance call system.

Scheduled transportation to medical visits, shopping and other errands.

Memory Care – Celebrating a Lifetime

Our approach to the unique issues of Memory care services include:

A safe, secure facility.
Licensed nurse on call and trained caregivers in dementia and age sensitivity.
Emergency call system to increase the safety of the room and enable
emergency assistance if necessary.

Daily scheduled activities that provide cognitive and physical stimulation
to help soothe and relieve the effects of Alzheimers and Dementia.

Nutritional plans that include the necessary caloric intake and vitamin-rich
diets to boost residents’ immune systems.

Closets that allow residents to dress themselves without confusion by
removing each clothing item in order.

Resources, education and support for family members.
